Jillian, a third-generation Angeleno, was born and raised in the foothills of Altadena and Pasadena. She spent time studying and working in Boston and the Netherlands, but eventually heeded the siren song to return to her roots in Los Angeles.
Upon her return, she spent several years working as a creative within the film and animation industry. This enabled her to work with robotic toy companies, hit animated TV shows, and major record labels in development and production - specifically within the realm of graphic design as well as designing, building, and dressing sets.
Her background in production design and set dressing led her to seek out a career where her creative ideas could have more permanence. This, coupled with her obsession with Los Angeles history and architecture, naturally led her to real estate. Her experience in interfacing with creative teams in the film world smoothly translated into coordinating contractors and subcontractors in remodeling homes to ready properties for the market. Rendering digital beforeand-afters is one of her favorite parts of the job! She has recently developed a passion for landscape design, a by-product of her experience with exterior renovations.
What truly sets Jillian apart is her intimate knowledge of Pasadena, Altadena, and Northeast Los Angeles. This connection allows her to specialize in the subtleties of the area, providing clients with meaningful insights into the market and of course, where to get the best taco in town - equally important!
Jillian resides in Atwater Village with her boyfriend and their lizard child, Ringo (affectionately referred to as “Mr. Baby”). On any given week you can find her at the local trivia night flexing her knowledge of random Wikipedia facts, belting out early 2000s hits at the karaoke bar, or perusing bookshops for Interior Design inspiration.
Jillian is proud to be a member of the Lexi Newman Team. Supporting her team of rockstar agents and assisting their clients in buying or selling their homes is truly gratifying work.
